Sadly, we are reducing our herd numbers and so we are reluctantly offering some of our alpacas for sale. We will be happy to tailor a package to suit your requirements and we have an assortment of alpacas to suit your needs from breeding females, to stock guardians or pets for those wishing to keep alpacas on a few acres.

Our herd is individually pen-fed daily allowing us keep regular contact with each animal for routine health checks and to ensure that every alpaca is people friendly.

Our alpacas are trained to the halter from about 7 months old and are lead around the local lanes to get used to being handled using Marty McGee-Bennett’s ‘Camelidynamics’ methods.  

We provide comprehensive and friendly after-sales support and advice (24 hours a day) especially to those new to alpacas. Our alpacas are sold strictly to the British Alpaca Society code of conduct. 

We will gladly give you a tour of Rosevine Farm and help with any questions you may have about alpaca keeping.

Langaton Suri Tabitha 5   (Suri – Breeding Female)

Tabitha was Suri Show Champion at the Devon County Show 2005.

She has an excellent conformation and beautiful tight pencil locking fleece with superb lock length and lustre.   In 2007 Cameron Holt, a leading authority on alpaca and speciality fibres, described her fleece “as the perfect example of a suri fleece” and took a sample for his fleece tour of England. Tabitha formed part of our foundation breeding herd and with her excellent genetics has consistently produced progeny which have been beyond our expectations .  She has passed on her superb fibre characteristics to her cria and is a gentle, caring  mother and prolific milker.

Reluctantly, Tabitha is now offered for sale – a beautiful girl who will enhance any herd.

Rosevine Suri Cenicienta    (Suri -  Breeding Female)

Cenicienta (Cinderella) is a beautiful princess. She is a maiden with lovely conformation and dripping, tight pencil locking from neck to tail which shows good lustre.  She has a wonderful outgoing personality, responsive to humans and easy to handle.  She is usually first into the feed pen but also loves to eat from the hand. Her dam was Suri Show Champion Devon County Show 2005 and her brother (our own Principe Azul) 2nd Intermediate White Male at the BAS Spring Show 2008. Cenicienta has never been shown but we are sure she would do well. She is ready to be mated now, and with her excellent genetics, will make an elegant addition to any breeding herd.

Rosevine Luna Llena  (Huacaya - Breeding Female)

Luna Llena (Full Moon) was born the day of a full moon.  She is an intelligent, inquisitive and friendly maiden at the start of her breeding career.  She has a very pretty face, a compact conformation, and fine fleece like her dam.  She has an excellent coverage of lovely creamy light fawn fleece with good crimp throughout.   Her quiet, gentle nature makes her easy to handle for routine husbandry.  Luna is now ready for her first mating and we can include a free mating to one of our studs if required.

MALES

Langaton Flequillo de Oro  (Suri - Wether)

We bought Flequillo (Flequi for short ) at six months old as part of our original male herd and have watched him mature into a friendly boy who integrates well with other wethers and entire males alike. He is a solid boy with good conformation, flat-locking fleece and a very cute, expressive face. Flequi will eat from the hand and would make a nice pet or field companion.
He is castrated, registered, micro-chipped and halter trained.

Rosevine Asteroid (Huacaya)

Asteroid is a very handsome, inquisitive young male with the most beautiful eyes. He has excellent conformation and his fleece is very dense and bright producing beautifully soft yarn.  He is alert, first to spot any intruder in the boys paddock, and would make a perfect stock guardian or companion animal.  Asteroid has never been shown but his sire, Avalon Tristram, was a winner at the Devon County Show 2005.  Asteroid is castrated, registered, micro-chipped and halter trained.
